Hey friend,

How are you? I hope you’re doing well.

I received great feedback on my recent survey.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on how to make this newsletter better.

If you haven’t yet, here is the survey.

One of the top topics many of you indicated is of great interest is “visual storytelling techniques.”

Great choice! So, let’s talk about it.

With all the positive and negative hype about AI for creating visual and textual content, I figured I’d share with you my take on how to safely use AI in your writing.

I won’t talk about “prompt engineering,” but the overall workflow you should consider.

Lay of the land

As you’ve seen, in the past two years since ChatGPT was launched a tidal wave of new text-to-text AI tools emerged for various writing purposes.

You can largely divide the landscape into three distribution categories.

Small players offer their products via the Web, mobile app, desktop app, and a Chrome extension. And the big players leverage their huge user traction and offer on-deck solutions.

Learn more about these 3 categories, the pros and cons of using AI writing tools, my tips cheat sheet, what I do, and a look at what’s ahead.
