Bruce Willis Becomes First Hollywood Actor to Sell Image Rights to Artificial Intelligence Company
The gist: With the growing interest in the metaverse and growth in artificial intelligence applications - such as the recent story I published about the emergence of AI generated images - this story nicely captures what’s ahead.
The story tells what happens when AI digital twin that looks like Bruce Willis takes over and extends the actor’s career line forever, or as long as the licensing terms last.
So in essence, yea Bruce Willis will be able to continue making his Die Hard films long after his death :)
Why it matters: Above the line, we’ll initially see more similar deals with other actors either in mid or end of the their careers.
Later, I can clearly see a new market for actors charging premium for physical vs. digital presence which will overall increase acting career lines - hey, no more calendar conflicts ;)
I also predict a new demand for actor doubles to carry actors’ digital twin faces in new and blockbuster franchise films.
Below the line, expect to see avatar authentication tech rising to battle deep fakes.
Millennials Want to Retire at 50. How to Afford It Is Another Matter.
The gist: Millennials (born 1981-1996) want to retire at 50 vs. late 60’s.
“I want to get to a point where I don’t have to work for money anymore, and I can work for pleasure.”
Why it matters: With the changing landscape of the workplace, this story adds also a generational perspective that could definitely affect your brand narrative when attracting new employees and building a healthy culture.
